“One and a half rooms” is one of the most famous essays of Joseph Brodsky (1940-1996), the great poet, translator, playwright, Nobel Laureate of Literature (1987) The author recalls in him about his parents, his childhood and youth, about the famous house on the corner of Liteiny Avenue in Leningrad, where he lived until the early 1970s and from where he was forced to go into emigration.
