This book is dedicated to the memory of Archimandrite John (peasant), the elder of the Pskov-Pechersky Monastery, the confessor of many bishops, priests, monks and laity.
God pleased that before the adoption of monastic tonsure and admission to the Pskov-Pechersk monastery, Priest John (Kentankin) for many years committed the parishes of the Pskov and Ryazan dioceses. It was here that he gained the spiritual experience, which he then generously shared with spiritual children to his death. The priest later said about that time: “We lived a difficult and verbose life. From God, they accepted the multi -ive gift of faith, and our soul and our heart now strive for Him and His love. ”
