This book is a joint work of prot. Alexei Kruglik and the historian-local historian Yu.V. Krestnikova - is an attempt to summarize all the historical information about the ancient monastery of Moscow, accumulated by the beginning of the 21st century. The authors express the hope that this work will become a starting point for subsequent research, which will allow to reach a qualitatively different level of ideas about the role of monasteries in the formation of Russian statehood, in the history and spiritual culture of Russia
