"Notes of the priest Sergius Sidorov" consist of several sections. The first part includes a number of essays about many well -known hierarchs and ascetics of the Russian Orthodox Church, whom Father Sergius knew, the second part is his study on the exploration of strangers, supplemented by personal observations. The value of "notes" is determined not only by their meaning of the historical document and research labor: with their publication, the legacy of the original, talented writer is included in Russian literature.
The biography of the priest Sergius Sidorov (1895-1937), compiled by his daughter, B.C. Bobrinskaya (1925-2003), brightly recreates the atmosphere of the life of the persecuted Russian priesthood in the 1920-1930s, it also includes a number of fragments of notes by Father Sergius, who did not enter the main arch.
In the present, the second edition, some errors of the text were corrected, the editor’s notes were clarified and supplemented, several small essays of Father Sergius, who did not enter the first edition, were added in the application
