Paul Gustav Dorea (1832–1883) is a great French draftsman, an artist-schedule known for his lithographs. He did not receive an art education, but in his life he created several tens of thousands of illustrations for ancient Greek myths, the works of Balzac, Rabelais, Dante, Charles Perrault, Cervantes, tennison, Milton, Byron and Edgar of the software. The illustrations of the daily life of London of authorship Dorea Vincent Van Gogh called his favorite work of art. Dore is rightly called the greatest illustrator of the 19th century.
But the most famous creation of Dore is a cycle of 241 lithography on the chosen stories of the Bible, the Old and New Testaments. In addition to the fact that the biblical cycle of Dorea is the most popular work of the artist, the illustrations of Dore to the Bible are the most famous artistic work in this direction.
