I do not prefer the preface to my publication: let it speak for itself. All contained in it is nothing more than a fertile insight of the soul, which I was awarded from the all -aware spirit of God in moments of deep attention and self -testing, especially during prayer. When I could, I recorded fertile thoughts and feelings, and a book was now compiled from these records of the Mungogy years. The content of the book is very diverse as readers will see, if they are. Let them judge the content of my publication (the preface of St. John of Kronstadt to the lifetime edition)
