The book talks about the life and work of Vladimir Mikhailovich Kotlyakov. He is an academician, the famous geographer, a researcher of Antarctica, one of the founders of domestic glaciology and a traveler. And he is an extremely interesting and living interlocutor. To tell about the long and eventful life of this person, the genre of conversation, dialogue, and free communication was chosen. Journalist Elena Kudryavtseva and Vladimir Mikhailovich met in different places: the scientist still conducts active professional activities - at the Institute of Geography of the Russian Academy of Sciences, in the Russian Geographical Society.
