Rabbi Moshe Ben Maymon (Rambam, 1138-1204) - the greatest Jewish sage of the postalmudic era: legislator, philosopher, scientist and doctor. His Code Mishnah Torah ("Repetition of the Teaching") is one of the most important works of Jewish tradition. In the most extensive of his works, the Rambam summarizes and systematizes the Talmudic tradition and in an accessible form sets out the entire set of Jewish religious legislation - ѓAlahi. In the eleventh book of the Code of Rambam Mishnah Torah, Nesikin, that is, "damage" dedicated to criminal and civil law, it includes: laws on property damage, laws on theft, laws on robbery and loss, laws on wounding and causing damage, laws on the killer and the laws of the murderer, and preservation of life. For the first time it is published in Russian completely, in the exact modern translation and with detailed comments
