This book is about the famous novel by M.A. Bulgakova Master and Margarita. And yet - about the literary hystblishman, which Mikhail Afanasevich called the mass -lithium. Recently, books in which they promise to reveal all the secrets of the great novel have been published with enviable regularity. The authors of such works are asked by the same questions that no less predictable answers find.
It has become almost a tradition to ask a rhetorical question: why the master did not deserve the light, that is, what is his fault. At the same time, the answer to it follows from the “open”, the unnecessed part of the novel, it lies literally on the surface.
The Bulgoved critic Alfred Barkov offers an alternative view of the novel and at the figure of the master. According to the author, the prototype for the master was none other than Maxim Gorky. Barkov believes that the date of the death of Gorky (1936) is the time of the events of the main storyline of the novel “Master and Margarita”. Read and be surprised!
