Biography of Major General N.A. Kolosova (1909-1993) is closely connected with the armed forces of our country. In the 1930s, he stood at the origins of the formation of tank troops of the Red Army, and with the beginning of the Great Patriotic War at the highest level, he solved the issues of their reform and combat training in connection with new tasks. As part of the army, he participated in the battles for the liberation of Poland and East Prussia. After the war N.A. Kolosov at political work in the Soviet Army, and later became the first director of the Battle of Borodino Museum-Panorama. The author’s life path of the author and his skill of the narrator allowed to create an interesting informative book about the Soviet country in difficult periods of its history
