The publication proposed to the reader contains translations into Russian of sources on the history of Christianity in Spain in the first millennium. For the first time in Russian, many invaluable evidence of life on the Iberian peninsula in the 4th-10th centuries are presented: "Spanish passionarium" (the lives of the Spanish martyrs), "Life of the Merid fathers", "On the famous men" of Isidore of Sevilles, "On the famous men" Ildens Toledo , ascetic works of the authors of the VI-IX centuries, several ancient chronicles, poetic texts of Christian authors, liturgical texts dating back to the 7th century. For the first time, the Spanish-Mosarabian calendar is published in Russian, reflecting the liturgical veneration of the ancient Spanish saints
