The publication presents a guide to Orthodox doctrine, compiled by a priest Alexander Kremlin (1872-1907), a spiritual writer, a master of theology, who graduated from the Kazan Theological Academy, law teacher of the Yaroslavl Demidov Lyceum. The introduction in a clear and affordable form shows the essence of the Orthodox creed, the content of the books of the Holy Scripture is revealed. In two parts of the manual, the doctrine of the Christian faith (dogma) and Christian moralizing (ethics) are briefly represented. The peculiarity of the publication is that the author not only seeks to explain how the Christian should believe, characterizing the symbol of faith in particular, but also instructs how to live in the sake of salvation, showing the vital importance of the commandments of bliss, the prayer of the Lord, church mystery, and correlating the innovative truths with everyday life of a person.
