The work is devoted to a critical analysis of the ancient idea of man as a microcosm, which was the central anthropological and cosmological paradigm before the advent of Christianity. But in the Christian tradition, this idea has significantly expanded and fundamentally rethought: a person is a reflection of not only space (physical world), but also the spiritual, angelic world. Moreover, the main essence of man is not in the correlation of man with any worlds, but in the fact that he is created in the image of the Creator, in God"s image. And because of this, each person is deeper and more than all this, as it would seem, immense world. Thus, in relation to all worlds, physical and spiritual, a person is not a “small world inside the big” (microcosm), but “the big world inside the small” (macrocosm) Such is the bold Christian doctrine of man and his greatest task: with the help of God and his labors to get involved, to become God by grace
