The creation of the Monk John of the Sinai "Laman" is a guide to ascend to the heights of the spirit both for the monks and the laity.
This edition, preserving the traditional division of the text into "words" into inviolability, contains, in addition, indications of the procedure for reading the "ladder" during the days of the Great Lent. The droppings printed in the form, they reproduce similar instructions of the Church Slavonic "ladder" from the department of ancient manuscripts of the library of the Moscow Theological Academy.
