In the book of Pavel Kuzenkov "Logos - Mir - Man", the doctrine of the world and man of one of the greatest Christian philosophers and theologians of the Early University era - the Monk Maximus Confessor († 662) is popular. Particular attention is paid to the concepts of "Logos" and "Tropos", occupying a key place in cosmology and anthropology. The author’s views are presented in an adapted and systematic form, without involving a scientific apparatus.
The book includes an appliance application, which includes fragments of the compositions of the Monk Maxim, cited in the main text of the publication. Their task is to give the reader the opportunity to personally contact the genuine texts of the saint of God, to evaluate their complexity, multifaceted and depth, stylistic and genre features. In addition, the Greek original of disassembled creations is proposed.
