The textbook is based on a lecture course, which has been part of the basic volume of theological disciplines of the PSTU for many years. The topics considered within its framework are fundamental for the initial stage of mastering the liturgical charter. Not pursuing purely scientific goals, lectures are called upon to introduce students to the system of followers and texts used in the Russian Orthodox Church in the annual, weekly and daytime liturgical circles.
