The French Islamic schola, the historian of religions and philosopher Henri Corben (1903-1978), is undoubtedly one of the most brilliant experts in the Muslim Iran, Shiism and Sufism. The book "Co -front man in Iranian Sufism" occupies an important place in his creative heritage. On the material of a number of classic Sufi texts, the author considers the phenomena of light and color (photisms) contemplated by a mystic during his spiritual wanderings and testifying to a change in his condition. The author believes that a series of light phenomena should be understood as a series of meetings with an invisible "spiritual counselor" of the Wanderer, leading him to a pure divine light.
The third edition of the book comes out with the new preface of J. Eshotsa, in which Corben"s creative heritage and his contribution to the development of Islamic studies, Iranistics and related disciplines are examined in detail. Translation by Yu.N. Stefanova was rebuilt with the French original and edited T.A. Umanskaya and E.A. Frolova
