What is this book about
Collection "Life and Eternity. 15 conversations about death and suffering " - these are conversations, excerpts from lectures, radio programs, meetings of Metropolitan Anthony of Sourozh, in which he speaks of such important and complex things as suffering and death, gives them a Christian understanding. Vladyka tells many bright cases from his own life, when he, as a doctor and a priest, met with death, discusses the fear of death, the suffering of children, about the judgment of God and much more.

Themes of death and suffering are very difficult and painful, but this is what we have to deal with in our life, we want it or not. By and large, this book is for everyone - the only question is whether a person is ready to think and read about it.
Why did we publish this book
Despite the taboo, people, as experience shows, want to talk and hear about death and suffering. Metropolitan Anthony speaks of this as few of our contemporaries. The materials collected in this book are the fruit of the gift of prayer contemplative hearing, which was possessed by the Vladyka. In all his thoughts, we see a personal faith in the unfinished death, in the superiority of love, in the light of the Resurrection, which will not overshadow no darkness.
