Before us is a book, which is based on an amazing discovery - twenty -three letters addressed to the lady (and three - her wife): we still did not know anything about the existence of these letters. The lady was a neighbor of Marseille Proust, living on the fourth floor in house 102 on Osmann Boulevard. Of course, the publication in Russian will complement these letters in a kind of stroke the portrait of the author of the Great French Book of the twentieth century, showing it as a private person in an atmosphere of everyday life with all its fleeting joys and troubles. Not only creative insights, painful searches for impeccable form, magazine and newspaper ups and downs, but also any, even the most insignificant, facts and events of Prusty’s everyday existence, ultimately the creation of a full -blooded image of a brilliant writer throughout his greatness and earthly imperfection
