This book is for those who want to raise their children not in the spirit of time, but in the spirit of truth, who are not indifferent to such concepts as faith, morality, conscience, who in the center of their life and in the life of children wants to put the creator.
A collection of conversations on the art of the Kimvals of the Good Logs was created with the blessing of the priest of one of the oldest monasteries in Moscow. The purpose of the work is to help Orthodox parents introduce children to art: to turn them to reading good moral literature, to studying music, studying Orthodox culture, in particular, architecture and art of Byzantium and Ancient Russia. The cultural and moral, spiritual development of children is necessary for the confrontation of the negative influence of mass culture, leading away from true values, often from faith and church.
The first edition of the collection received a friendly review of the referent of the department of religious education and catechization of the Russian Orthodox Church, candidate of philosophical sciences, philologist S.M. Shestakova in 2007. She noted the work of the authors who tried to convince her parents that their role in introducing children to art is the main thing. Conversations are available in form and content and answer the main questions: what is the role of culture in the life of children, how to return them to reading good books, what to read in accordance with age, how to understand the history of architecture and art - Orthodox culture, what is the role of folk musical culture How to relate to popular musical genres. The collection contains a selection of texts of the Holy Scriptures and the teachings of the Holy Fathers about the activity of man for the glory of God.
