This publication is a reprint reproduction of a special issue of the journal of the Moscow Patriarchate, the release of which was dedicated to the meeting of the heads and representatives of autocephalous Orthodox churches, which took place in Moscow from July 8 to 19, 1948, as part of celebrations for the 500th anniversary of autocephaly of the Russian Orthodox Church.
The results and significance of the All -Orthodox meeting of 1948 is difficult to overestimate: it proclaimed the freedom of the Church in internal self -government and preserving its belief, a number of decisions were made on many relevant issues about the Vatican, ecumenism, church calendar, etc. That in the preparation of decisions of the All-Orthodox meeting was attended by a well-known ideologist of monarchical teachings by St. Seraphim (Sobolev), and resolutions were adopted on July 17, on the day of the 30th anniversary of the martyrdom of the royal family.
