Issues of the typology and textology of ancient Russian coins

The book made an attempt to build a holistic picture of the development of coaters - the arches of the melodic formulas of the ancient Russian vowel of the Old Russian chants - based on the analysis of their typology and textology. Lists of most known musical and theoretical manuals of this class that have not yet been considered in the aggregate have been involved in the study today. The author’s typology is based on the functional purpose of the coat - those goals and objectives that their compilers set themselves and which lie in the main of the main activities of the Old Russian craftsmen: didactics, performing, composition and theory, as well as ways of showing the melodic content of lap. For each of the six types of codiums, the chronological framework of existence and the moments of especially active development have been established, the mutual influence of both the types of coat and specific guidelines has been studied, the causes and mechanisms of creating new types of new types and textological models of coaters are determined. The publication is intended for specialists in the field of ancient Russian musical culture, church singers, teachers and students of musical, theoretical and regency departments of universities
