The real book, written by the famous Russian historian and ethnographer N.P. Ostroumov (1846-1930), is dedicated to the history of Arabia --- countries in which one of the world religions --- Islam began and began its spread. The author gives a detailed geographical description of Arabia, as well as historical information about this country and the tribes that inhabited it from antiquity, illuminates the home and social life of the Arabs, their morals, beliefs, rites, the history of the language, the fate of Christianity in Arabia. The purpose of the book is to show the dependence of the teachings of the Qur"an on the geographical, historical and ethnographic features of Arabia and explain why this teaching originally spread among the Arabs, found adherents mainly in Asia and Africa and what influence it had on them.
The book, which compiled the first part of the great work conceived by the author of Islamic, has independent significance. It will be useful to both professional historians, ethnographers and religious scholars, and a wide circle of readers interested in world history.
