The collective monograph is devoted to the memory of the Soviet and Russian historian, an orientalist, one of the major researchers of the history of Islam in the Russian Empire and the Soviet Union, a doctor of historical sciences, a professor of Moscow State University, a member of the All -Russian Association of Orientalists Dmitry Yuryevich Arapov. A large team of domestic and foreign (Australia, Austria, Azerbaijan, Great Britain, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Lithuania, USA, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, France, Japan) authors took part in the work.
