The course offered to the reader is a new word in the history of domestic biblicalism. While in Western European languages there are many manuals called "Introduction to the Old Testament" and "Introduction to the New Testament", we have not actually have such manuals in Russia. Before the 1917 revolution, the "Biblical History of Lopukhin and the Tolk Bible" in 3 volumes were published. In Soviet times, only atheists wrote about the Bible (Yaroslavsky, Osipov, Krevtylev) The author of the book, an Orthodox Christian who has been studying the Bible for about 40 years, who participated in the project of the adoption of the New Testament from the ancient Greek into Russian, the Doctor of the Philosophy of the University of Tubingen, who defended the dissertation based on the book of the Prophet Daniel, offers the author’s introduction to the author’s introduction to the Books of the Old and New Testaments, As well as additional materials related to the history of the biblical text and biblical archeology.
