The famous composition of the great holy father of the Western Church of the 4th-5th centuries. Blessed Augustine, Bishop of Hippon (354-430), "Interpretation on the Gospel of John" in 124 conversations, or reasoning, is a classic patristic commentary on this special, different from the first three, so-called synoptic, gospel. This essay was compiled by Blzh. Augustine in 413-418? Part I of reasoning (1-54) was uttered. Augustine in the temple in the form of sermons, and part II (55-124) was, as expected, dictated by it to complete this treatise, possibly a little later.
