Saint John Zlatoust (347-407) is one of the greatest fathers of the Ecumenical Church. He left us a huge literary heritage and liturgical. In his explanation of the Holy Scripture, the saint showed how the Bible could become a true mentor of man. Explaining the sacred books, he often made deviations on modern public and moral topics, constantly emphasizing the connection of what was said in the dilapidated and new covenants with the spiritual life and actions of a Christian. It was this that made his biblical interpretations so instructive both for his contemporaries and for all subsequent generations.
The first book contains 44 conversations of the-time of St. John Chrysostom on the Gospel of Matthew.
In the second book, his 46 conversations at the gospel of Matthew are collected in the second book.
