Dmitry Avdeev is a doctor and publicist, a member of the Union of Writers of Russia. Born in 1964. The author of many books, among them: “Reflections of the Orthodox doctor”, “Essays on Orthodox psychotherapy. To help the suffering soul ”,“ Orthodoxy and medicine ”,“ Soul illness: Orthodox look ”,“ Sinful ailments. Psychology of passion ”and many others.
The Board of the Union of Writers of Russia was awarded the medals of A.P. Chekhov (2010) and M.Yu. Lermontov (2013) for contribution to the spiritual improvement of the nation. He is a diploma in the literary contest Orthodox Russia (Union of Writers of Russia, 2013) The International Tsarist Fund was awarded the medal “Tako, let your lights before people ...” II degree (2013) He is a laureate of the VIII All -Russian competition For asceticism in the field of mental health named after Academician of the RAMS TB Dmitrieva.
In 2017, the author was seriously ill, underwent several operations. The book The disease is a visit to God. Pages from the diary ”is written in gratitude to the Lord, the Most Holy Mother and the holy saints of God for all the good deeds revealed to the author during the illness
