Rev. Schiarchimandrite Serafim (Romatsov, 1885-1976) is included in the galaxy of the great elders of the Glinsky Christmas of the Virgin, along with the Simitropo Litus Zinovius (Majueta) by the Schiarchimandrite Andronika (Lukash), Schiarchimandrite Seraphim (Amelin) and others. From his youth, who chose the monastic path, the future saint came to the monastery in 1910. After the closing of the monastery in 1922, the Rev. worked in the mountains of the Caucasus, where, in difficult conditions, prayer and vigil increased spiritually, strengthening his spirit for future trials. In exile and in the camp, the prayer and grace of God supported the elder, taught to see and understand the suffering human heart. In 1947, the elder returned to the newly open Glinsky deserts and was appointed confessor. Father Seraphim helped many in sorrows and sorrows to find joy about the Lord and the spiritual world. The elder ended his earthly path in Sukhumi, until the last day continuing to nourish numerous spiritual children, helping them with advice and prayer present.
