The collection proposed to readers contains only a small part of the literary heritage of St. Macarius (Nevsky), who during his lifetime earned the naming of the "Apostle Altai" and the Patriarch of Altai Missionaries. The missionary activity of St. Macarius, who devoted more than half a century to the apostolic works in Altai, was of great importance for all aspects of the life of the Altai Spiritual Mission. According to one of the employees of Vladyka Makarii, “there is no one in the vast Altai, not a single gorge where they did not know his name, did not remember his instructions.
