Archbishop Pavel (Olmari-Gusev) was born in St. Petersburg in 1914, in 1937 he took monastic tonsure in the Valaam Monastery and was ordained a presbyter next year. In 1955, Hirotonisan at the bishop, and from 1960 until his death in 1988 he headed the Finnish Orthodox Church. He devoted this book to the main sacrament of the Orthodox Church - the Eucharist.
