The “hero of the spirit” was called the Holy Righteous John of Kronstadt (1829-1908) To observe his inner life, the righteous daily kept a diary in which he introduced secret thoughts and prayers to God. These diaries, included in the now famous book "My Life in Christ", is an invaluable property. Father John had the greatest gift of prayer and deeply believed that the Lord was so close to a believer Christian as His own body and heart.
