The book tells about Christian humility. On numerous examples from the lives of saints, patterns and prologue, the meaning of this virtue for salvation is revealed. The author pays much attention to the practical application of patristic instructions about humility in the everyday life of a Christian.
The famous spiritual writer of antiquity, Rev. Avva Dorotheus compared the process of salvation of the soul with the construction of the house. He wrote that the builder should put a lime solution on each stone, because without it the stones will break up and the building will fall. For the spiritual house of a Christian, virtues are bricks, and humility serves with lime.
