Mikhail Naumovich Epstein (b. 1950) is one of the most famous philosophers and theorists of the culture of post -Soviet era, the author of many publications in the field of philology and linguistics, Honored Professor of the University of Emory (Atlanta, USA) Even during the years of perestroika, he formulated a number of new philosophical principles, raised the question of the possibility of purposeful enrichment of language systems and began to develop a projective dictionary of humanities. Epstein methodically violated the borders and went beyond the framework of the existing academic disciplines and models of thinking. The collection of articles and conversations "Homo Scriptor" is dedicated to the seventy anniversary of the philosopher. The task of this book is to comprehend Epstein’s original method, his innovative terminology, research in individual disciplines and a general contribution to modern humanitarian thought.
