In the next volume of the church-historical works of a wonderful church historian, professor of the Moscow Theological Academy and Honored Professor of the Imperial Moscow University Alexei Petrovich Lebedev (1845-1908), one of his most capital scientific works, still without analogues in Russian church-historical science .
One of the many positive reviews about the book of Professor A.P. Lebedev "The History of the Greek Church under the rule of the Turks" is printed in the famous scientific journal "Byzantine Temporary". Here are the final words from this review: "Book prof. A.P. Lebedeva deserves attention to one thing that represents the first serious experience in the Russian literature in a detailed study of the fate of the Orthodox Greek Church after the conquest of Byzantium by the Turks. The author took advantage of the issue of numerous foreign literature for his goal, very carefully and critically studied it and reproduces this literature in his study all in full, to the smallest detail. At the same time, the book is written in a clear and simple language and is quite suitable for popular reading. Prof. A.P.
