Many centuries have passed since the Russian man entered the hill for the first time, when the Russian language was heard at these heights and when the Russian Pogost appeared there, and the Russian Orthodox Church was erected on this graveyard, surrounded by cells of peaceful priests, ministers this temple.
In ancient times, the monasteries were the only conductors of the Enlightenment among the dark, ignorant people. For pagans, they served as powerful distributors of the Holy Christian Faith. Both the words of the gospel teaching, and a living example of a good Christian life, were greatly influenced by the Gentiles, softening their customs and promoting the placement between them of citizenship and Russification, as well as their merger into one inseparable whole with the state.
