The story of Judah Zariot is one of the most tragic in the history of mankind. The vile betrayal committed by him became a symbol of a low fall, and he himself turned into a synonym for a terrible sin from a living person. “But how could this happen to the disciple of Christ, with one of his closest friends?” - The author of this book asks a question. Its genre is best characterized by the words "artistic theology". This is an attempt to see the gospel drama with their own eyes: the betrayal and fate of the traitor. Without pretending to discover the truth in the last instance, the author, turning to biblical texts, to the interpretations of the Holy Fathers and the thoughts of modern researchers, offers his answers to unresolved questions in the "Judas" case", his vision and living of the gospel history.
