Pyotr Vladimirovich Smirnovsky (1846–1904)-Russian teacher-philologist. They have written a manual specifically for those who want to study the ancient Church Slavonic language. The author talks about many aspects of the language taught and concludes that without comparing it with the usual Russian, study will not bring much benefit, because everything is known in comparison.
