The interest of the researchers of the New Testament in the Gospel of Mark unusually increased in the 20th century. The proposed comment contains not only the explanation of the text of this book based on the experience of modern science, but also the thoughts of the theological ideas of the evangelist. It can be said without exaggeration that the Gospel of Mark should be considered one of the most influential creations of not only the Christian world, but also of the entire world culture. In recent decades, a barely foreseeable number of research works and interpretations has been devoted to its study. It is impossible to explain this fact with a purely scientific interest.
