Collection of ascetic creations of fathers of the 4th-XV centuries. Compiled by St. Macarius, Metropolitan Corinthian (1731-1805) and edited by the Monk Nicodemus Svyatogorets (1749-1809).
The name of the collection sounded completely as the "good -love of the sacred sovetors, collected from our holy and pantry fathers, in which, through an active and contemplative moral philosophy, the mind is cleared, enlightened and improved.
In the Slavic language, Greek "kindness" was translated by the Monk Paisius Velichkovsky, and later a greater work on the translation of the collection into Russian was carried out by St. Theophan the Recluse.
