The main theme of this fundamental work of Balthazar is the theological beauty ("glory") of divine revelation. The loss of this angle, according to the largest thinker of the twentieth century, caused damage to modern Christian thought. The author sets himself the task of returning beauty to its former, magistral path, without affirming the advantages of the aesthetic principle over the logical and ethical.
