According to the ancient church tradition, excerpts from the Old Testament are read in the days of the Great Lent for worship. Particular attention is paid to the book of Genesis: saturated with deep theological meanings, it formed the worldview of Christians at all times. We have collected under the same cover the high -here readings from the book of Genesis with the historical, theological and ethical comments of modern clergymen. Such a reading can be a wonderful practice for a Christian that can exalt and enlighten the soul on the way to Easter.
