The “full canonical akathist” in five volumes contains akathists who were officially approved at different times in the Russian Orthodox Church, their total number is 243 {as of March 2018) the procedure for approval (approval) of the akathists was not quite the same in different centuries in different centuries And decades, over time, the conditions for the existence of prayer texts also changed.
In the second volume, 50 hymns are included, namely: Akathist all saints who have pleased God from century, and 49 akathists in an alphabetical order of the names of the saints and their nicknames, from the letter A according to G, from the Monk Abraham Gorodetsky to the saint of Guria Kazan.
Akathists are collected and carefully verified by the original priest Theodore Lyudogovsky, a candidate of philological sciences, who has devoted many years to the collection and study of acathizing creativity.
At the moment, this five -volume is the only and at the same time the most complete edition of the canonically approved akathists of the Russian Orthodox Church
