It seems that there is not a single painful question of modernity, about which the writer and publicist Alexander Melikhov would not speak out on the pages of this book with ruthless clarity - terrorism and drug addiction, Stalin and Solzhenitsyn, Israel and Kazakhstan, anti -Sinism, and over time his judgments are not the judgment. They lost neither depths, nor sharpness, no brilliance. The main position of the author’s social philosophy: a person with all his might seeks to overcome a sense of self -insignificance, everything else is only means of this overcoming. In the light of such a view, attachment to tyrants and national enmity turn from meaningless irrationalities into quite rational ways to achieve a coveted goal. Which can be overcome quite rationally
