This textbook completes a series of textbooks on the course of the Fourth Gospel intended for undergraduate students studying the New Testament.
The third volume of the textbook includes two thematic blocks. The first is devoted to a detailed analysis of that material from the Gospel of John, which has no parallels in synoptic gospels. The consistent analysis of the gospel text is accompanied by numerous excursions into the historical and religious world of Palestine from the times of Jesus, the Old Testament prototypes and symbols of gospel history, as well as the issues of chronology, are examined in detail.
The second block of the textbook is devoted to the analysis of the gospel narratives about the Cross Death and the Resurrection of the Lord. Events from the entrance of the Savior to Jerusalem to his ascension to heaven in the presentation of all four evangelists are dismantled in detail in the context of cultural and historical realities and patristic interpretations.
The textbook meets the current requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard of Higher Education. It is addressed to students of both theological seminaries and secular universities that train students under the educational standard on theology, as well as all those interested in biblicalism and theology
