"For a single az ..." Book "on the right" under Patriarch Nikon (1653-1666)

The monograph, built on the study of the unique corps of sources, analyzes the "correction" of the liturgical books of the Russian Orthodox Church, undertaken under Patriarch Nikon in 1653-1666, the role and place of the book "of the fraud" in the church schism. The forms, nature and logic of the impact of the change of liturgical text on the Russian religious consciousness have been studied. Particular attention is paid to the identification of the change of ideological guidelines in the field of theological thought, ecclesiology and anthropology caused by the introduction of such "corrections". The liturgical reform of Patriarch Nikon, considered in sufficient fullness and impartiality, is studied in the context of the book and church-political culture of the 17th century.
