The history of this collection is very mysterious. The one Russian hieromonk resting on Athos in 2014 during a visit to one desert on the Holy Mountain brought an read -read out a common notebook from there, in which these narratives were recorded.
The basis of stories is the real events from the spiritual life of "hungry and thirsty truths" (Matthew 5: 6) They collect the spiritual wealth of the human soul, exciting the main and all -consuming idea: its salvation. It is told about people who persistently resist the sinfulness of human nature, striving to get away from the banalities of everyday vegetation into the world of asceticism, prayer and secluded life
