Father John the Krestyankin (1910–2006), a priest, a monk, a ascetic, a confessor and an all -Russian elder. For sixty years he served in a sacred dignity, forty - in a monastic rank. In the late 40s and early 50s, he was repressed, prison and camp conclusion. He was the inhabitant of the Pskov-Pechersky Monastery, accepted, spiritually instructed and comforted tens of thousands of people. The sermons of repentance, uttered in the first week of Great Lent and recorded by pilgrims in the Pskov-Pechersky Monastery in the mid-70s, formed the basis of this book.
