In ancient times, Estonian land was called the land of Mary, the land of the Virgin. Prechy by its light feet went around the hills, lakes and sources and showed its icon next to the place where the majestic Holy Assumption Pyukhtitsky Monastery was subsequently built. Her prayers on this blessed land appeared the elders, who in Soviet times were comforters and healers of many believers, not only from Estonia, but also from different parts of the then not divided large country.
During life, these shepherds of Christ did not want them to be called the elders, but everything that we now learn about them from the memories of various people indicates that they had spiritual gifts that distinguish genuine elders: the gift of reasoning (insight ), the gift of healing of bodily and mental ailments and the genuine humility of Christ. Two of them-Archpriest Peter Sergin and Archimandrite Yermogen (Mur-Tazov)-were confessors of the Pyukhtitsky Monastery, Archpriest Vasily Borin served near the glorious monastery, Archpriest Vyacheslav restored the temple in the mining town of Kokhtla-Yarva, and Archpriest Vasily Lysak Rustromeli Tallinn. All the named priests that this book was dedicated were connected by spiritual communication, knew each other well.
With the difference in age, fate and character, they united them all that they were pure prayer people for the people. That is why the Lord sent them his fertile gifts - they were genuine shepherds who empathized with every person who comes to them, and begged for forgiveness and healing, even from such a terrible ailment as obsession.
