Book V.I. Petrushko "Essays on the history of the Russian Church. Middle of the XV century. - The end of the XVI century. " It is a continuation of the previously published and already withstanding two editions of the book "Essays on the history of the Russian Church. From ancient times to the middle of the XV century. " It covers the period of Russian church history from the Florentine Union and the beginning of autocephaly of the Russian Church until the end of the reign of Ivan the Terrible. It considers the formation of the Russian metropolis as an independent local church. Particular attention is paid to such topics as heresy of the “Judaizers”, the problem of church land ownership, the development of state-church relations during the formation of autocratic power in Russia. The publication can be recommended as a training manual for students of higher spiritual educational institutions and secular universities studying the history of the Russian Church and the history of Russia of the medieval period
